From payment to community access.
Memberalia connects billing to access. Use these steps to launch and these checks to keep memberships working.
Quick start
- Create an account, verify your email and create a workspace.
- Connect your Stripe Standard account from onboarding.
- Choose Discord or Telegram and connect the community.
- Create a monthly, annual or one-time plan. Add benefits and map access.
- Publish the hosted page and test a purchase before sharing the link.
The 14-day workspace trial starts without a payment card. Membership payments go to the connected Stripe account; Memberalia billing uses a separate platform subscription.
Discord permissions
The bot requests Manage Roles (268435456), never Administrator. Put its role above the membership roles. It cannot assign administrator, managed, everyone, or higher roles.
Connect through workspace onboarding. Set private channel permissions in Discord and test with a regular member account. Do not solve a hierarchy error by granting Administrator.
Telegram setup
- Click Connect Telegram in Communities.
- Add @MemberaliaBot as administrator to your private group or channel.
- Allow it to invite and remove users.
- Generate a connection code, open the bot and choose your community. Return to Memberalia to confirm the verified selection.
- Publish the plan. Test the identity deep link, checkout and join request with a separate account.
Memberalia operates the shared bot for all workspaces. Connection codes expire in ten minutes and can be used once. For groups, you can also send /connect followed by the code as yourself.
Membership states
A failed recurring payment starts three days of grace. Cancellation at period end keeps access until that date. Expired or revoked entitlements remove access. Overlapping valid plans preserve shared roles.
Troubleshooting
- Role cannot be assigned: move the bot above the role and verify Manage Roles.
- Member not in server: join through the server invite, then retry synchronization.
- Telegram invite missing: verify the member started the correct bot and the bot still has invite permission.
- Access not removed: review Communities and Activity, fix permissions, then choose Sync now.
- Payment missing: confirm the connected account and actual billing period.
Reconciliation checks access every six hours. It cannot repair missing administrator authorization by itself.
Moving from another service
Existing subscription import is not included. Inventory subscriptions, identities and permissions before changing automation. Test a migration or re-subscription plan, and avoid two bots controlling the same membership boundary.
